Delete your account
You can permanently delete your MyPKU account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do it.
Option 1: Delete it yourself
The quickest way is from your own account, in the MyPKU app or on the website:
- Sign in to MyPKU.
- Open Profile.
- Find Delete my account, type DELETE to confirm, then select Permanently delete.
Sign in to delete your account
This takes effect immediately and cannot be undone.
Option 2: Ask us to delete it
If you can no longer access your account, email us from the address you registered with and we will action your request:
We complete emailed deletion requests within 30 days.
What gets deleted
Deleting your account permanently removes:
- Your profile and the personal details you entered.
- Your blood phenylalanine readings and daily exchange logs.
- Any images you uploaded, such as a profile picture.
- Your sign-in credentials.
Your community posts and comments are not removed but are anonymised, so they can no longer be linked to you. A small amount of information may be retained where the law requires it, for example transaction records held by our payment provider.
