Last updated: 12 May 2026
1. Acceptance
By creating an account or using MyPKU (mypku.co.uk), you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.
2. Who we are
MyPKU is operated by MyPKU Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17196934). Registered office: International House, 55 Longsmith Street, Gloucester, GL1 2HT, United Kingdom.
For questions about these Terms, contact us at support@mypku.co.uk.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MyPKU. Users aged 13–17 must have parental or guardian consent. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.
4. Your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
- You must provide accurate information at registration and keep it up to date.
- You may not share your account with others.
- We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or misuse the service.
5. Health information disclaimer
MyPKU is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All features on this platform, including blood test logging, charts, and AI-generated summaries, are for personal self-management and informational purposes only.
AI-generated summaries specifically:
- Summarise patterns in data you have recorded in your personal diary. They do not access external clinical data sources.
- Are generated by an AI language model (Anthropic Claude Sonnet 4.6 via Amazon Bedrock). AI models can make mistakes and must not be relied upon for clinical decisions.
- Do not constitute a diagnosis, clinical recommendation, or treatment plan.
- Are not reviewed by a medical professional before being shown to you.
Always consult your metabolic team or a qualified healthcare professional before making any changes to your PKU management, diet, or medication.
We are not liable for any health decisions made based on information or AI output provided through MyPKU.
6. Community and social content
- You retain ownership of content you post to the platform.
- By posting, you grant MyPKU a worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce, and use that content for service improvement, including training AI/LLM models, as noted at the point of submission.
- You must not post: unlawful content, personal medical advice directed at other individuals, content that identifies people without their consent, spam, or abusive or harmful material.
- We may remove content that violates these rules without prior notice.
7. Subscriptions and payments
- Subscription fees are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service. The price and billing interval are displayed on the subscription page before you confirm payment.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price on the same day each billing period. You will retain access until the end of the period in which you cancel.
- 14-day cooling-off right: Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a 14-day right to cancel from the date of subscription. Because premium access begins immediately on payment, by completing checkout you expressly request supply to begin within the cancellation period and acknowledge that you waive your 14-day cancellation right once access has started.
- How to cancel: Cancel at any time via the Manage subscription page or by emailing support@mypku.co.uk. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
- Refunds are not available for partial billing periods already used. This does not affect your statutory rights under applicable law.
8. Shop purchases and physical goods
Physical products sold through the MyPKU shop are fulfilled by us and payment is processed by Stripe. By placing an order you also agree to Stripe's Terms of Service.
- All prices are displayed inclusive of any applicable taxes. Shipping costs are shown at checkout before payment is confirmed.
- You have a statutory right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving goods under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. See our Returns & Refunds policy for full details.
- Goods are covered by your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015: they must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose, and as described.
- Estimated delivery times and shipping destinations are set out in our Shipping & Delivery policy.
9. Intellectual property
MyPKU and its content (excluding user-generated content) are owned by us. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our platform or branding without prior written consent.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyPKU shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
11. Changes to the service
We may modify or discontinue features of the service at any time. We will give reasonable notice of material changes.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
13. Changes to these Terms
We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of MyPKU after changes constitutes acceptance.
